The Getinge CHEMISIX PACK EXTENDED emulator test pack is a Process Challenge Device (PCD) designed for monitoring pre-vacuum steam sterilizers operating at 132ºC (270ºF) for 10 and 20 minutes or 135ºC (275ºF) for 8 and 16 minutes.

When used as directed, the Getinge CHEMISIX PACK EXTENDED gives instant visual confirmation that sterilization conditions in the load have been met, providing instant results for load release.

The CHEMISIX PACK EXTENDED contains a chemical integrator test card that meets the requirements for ANSI/AAMI/ISO 11140-1:2005 Class 6 emulators. The Instant Readout Emulator card is contained inside a pack of porous and non-porous materials that provide resistance to the penetration of steam during the sterilization cycle.

During exposure to steam sterilization conditions at 132ºC (270ºF) for 10 minutes and 20 minutes or 135ºC (275ºF) for 8 minutes and 16 minutes, the appropriate indicator ink will change from purple to green if correct sterilization conditions of time, temperature and steam are met. Results are instant, allowing the load to be released immediately.
