A Process Challenge Device (PCD) designed for monitoring pre-vacuum steam sterilizers with exposure times greater than 3 minutes at 132ºC (270ºF). Verifies sterilization conditions in each load instantly with accuracy equal to a biological test pack, providing instant results for load release assurance. The ChemiPack is not a substitute for Biological Monitoring. The ChemiPack contains a chemical integrator test card placed inside a package of porous and non-porous materials. The pack provides resistance to the penetration of steam during the sterilization cycle. The Instant Readout Integrator Card provides immediate verification that the test pack was exposed to sterilization parameters when the Integrator Card ink changes from PURPLE (FAIL) to GREEN (PASS).
